On the 18th of december 2009, the ANA presented the Beja Airport marketing plan at a meeting to the press in Beja in Alentejo Province - Portugal. Beja civil airport is proposed to carry the name Alentjeo Airport said Ricardo Laguna, author of the marketing plan.

Beja Airport set to open in September 2010
Submitted by Nomad on Tue, 12/15/2009 - 07:00September 2010 is announced to be the month the civil airport of Beja will be opened. The Socialist MEP Ana Paula Vitorino made the announcement after the parliamentary group met the board of directors of the the Beja Airport Development Company (EDAB).
