The Cadiz province in southern Andalusia, Spain is a great area to explore as we already found out in spring 2010 before heading off to Morocco. Places like Seville, Jerez de la Frontera, Arcos de la Frontera and the nature parks Los Alcornocales and Sierra de Grazalema are absolutely worth a visit. Though for those traveling by campervan, motorhome, RV or caravan the Cadiz interior is not the easiest region to travel in as we experienced in the summer of 2010. Have a look.

The Algeciras, Gibraltar corner of Spain is where many gather before heading for Morocco. From here many ferry companies can take you to Ceuta or Tanger on the African continent. Not surprisingly the ferry ticket business is all around with Palmones commercial zone as the last stop to stock up with supplies before Morocco.

Just above Algeciras and Gibraltar - the port to Africa - a big natural park stretches far inland on both sides of the A381 highway to Seville. Los Alcornocales Natural Park in the Andalusia province in Spain consists of Mediterranean native forest and is a nice place to explore by foot or bicycle for those who are not in a rush to get to Africa.
