Portugal has quite a few rural airfields for ultralight aircrafts and remote controlled airplanes (UAV, Drones). Since October 2009 there is a new ultralight airfield near the biggest reservoir lake in Portugal. An impression of the airstrip just outside Campinho village in the southern Alentejo province.
Ultralight airfield at the Alqueva reservoir lake
The new airfield is known as “Campo de Voo de Campinho”, meaning Campinho Airfield.

Have a look at aerial pictures from the nearby royal hunting estate from King Carlos, now being transformed into a luxury golf resort.
