Visa

For most of the Middle-East countries we need a Visa to get in and out. In total 8 Visa's of which the one's for the UAE and Saudi-Arabia are only issued on invitation. In the route section we've gathered Visa information for each country, including special regulations when bringing a car.
For the Visa hunt we gathered the following set of documents:

  • Letter of recommendation from Dutch local government
  • Letter of recommendation from our employers
  • 16 color photo's each (Janine with Chador :-) )
  • A brand new passport (enough pages for Visa stamps)
  • The route we plan to travel
  • Hotel reservation/invitation from the UAE
  • Approx. DFL 1500,- for the complete set of Visa's.

In January 2000 we started contacting embassies by phone for information how to apply for a Visa.
