162 Days in the East
Solar Panels

Why ? : Our electricity supply is a continuos concern during the past years of travelling through Europe. A 'house-hold' battery supplies our daily electricity needs for light, pumping water and (gas) heating (air circulation by a electric fan). This battery is charged by the engine altenator. It makes driving compulsory in order to charge the household battery. Hence camping out in the wild for a few days drains the battery quickly, specially in cold conditions as we experienced in Iceland and the Alps. Next to that the Middle-East is a region where darkness falls quickly and early.
Anyway to avoid a compulsory 'charge' drive we decided to orientate ourselves on a PV (Photo Voltaic) or solar system. Next to that helping the environment by the use of PV systems feels like a good thing to do

PV systems : See here.

Our choice : So far Siemens seems like a good supplier. BP as second best.
